It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia Board Game
Your teachers always told you that when you write a story, the characters should be round, not flat. Even the worst villain should have some sort of redeeming quality, like knitting sweaters for rescue chickens. Characters should come out of a story changed in some profound way.
Always Sunny’s writers threw that idea straight out the window… and that is why this TV show is so spectacular. Mac, Dennis, Charlie, Dee, and Frank have no redeeming qualities. They’re vile, horrible, selfish human beings. No matter what happens to them, they come out of it without having learned a single life lesson. They destroy people’s lives without a thought about the consequences. In fact, they often suffer no consequences!
You might not become drug addicts, beer pong champions, or viral video stars. In fact, it’s best you don’t try to emulate the folks from the show in real life. That’s why we have board games! As a member of the Paddy’s Pub crew, you’re trying to purchase the most shares in the pub so you can make the big decisions. Collect beers and make your way to a pub to convert them to empties. Trade your empties for Paddy’s Pub Dollars at a beer store and then use those dollars to purchase your shares. Sounds about as easy as one of Dennis and Mac’s schemes… which means it’ll go hilariously wrong.
